The 1990 article and similar studies since then have been small samples, have not been used for a long time, and have not emphasized enough on adverse reactions. High-dose and long-term use of recombinant human growth hormone can lead to adverse reactions such as hypertension, arthralgia, limb edema, carpal tunnel syndrome, diabetes mellitus and male breast development.
